Who Is Dante’s Dots?

Dante (he/him)

Hi everyone! Thank you very much for taking the time to check out my website! My name is Dante (he/him) and I am a 26-year-old artist from St Paul, MN. I have been drawing all of my life, and have been pursuing my style with stippling, line work, and surrealism for approximately 4 years now.

I learned to tattoo in Bangkok, Thailand where I apprenticed at Lone Wolf Studio under Teerapat Pombejara for 3 months. Here, I learned the fundamentals of tattooing such as proper sanitation, necessary equipment, and the basics of using a tattoo machine to bring your artwork to life on skin. I have been tattooing full-time for just over a year, and with the help of all my wonderful clients, I am still constantly learning and improving my art style, with hopes of one day owning my own private studio.

I specialize primarily in black & grey dot work, fine line, geometric designs, as well as red ink tattoos. However, I am always open to hearing everyone’s amazing ideas and working with you all to bring your vision into reality. My spare time is mostly spent drawing and working on personal projects, but I also love video games, biking, fitness, and meditation. Thank you all for reading! I very much look forward to working with you.

Akira (he/him)

Hello! My name’s Akira, I’m 26 years old and was born in Berkeley, CA. My work at Dante’s Dots is to handle the logistical and technical aspects of our business. I designed the website you’re on right now, and I coordinate appointments to ensure everything goes smoothly. If you talk with someone on the phone about an appointment, 99% of the time you will be speaking with me.

I also do environmental justice organizing work as my full-time job in addition to helping run Dante’s Dots. I’m currently working on a campaign to shut down a large garbage incinerator in Downtown Minneapolis where the garbage it burns has been polluting/poisoning the predominantly Black and low-income neighborhoods of North Minneapolis. In my spare time, I love reading manga, building playlists, playing trading card games, and exploring fashion.
